Wait a minute. Blacks committed violent crimes against Asians is a real thing. DEI policies that discriminate against Asians is a real thing. And yet MAGA is the problem? What law did Trump introduce that discrimates on race?

Yet universities, especially Ivy League, universities, and places like Stanford embrace Black American students and push away and deny Asian American students.

I took African American studies, Asian American studies, and Latin American studies, I was the only one of my race in some of those classes but I learned so much of ALL our journeys and fights to get just an inch and what we ALL went through. I highly suggest studying what others went through as well.

George Takei wrote a book on this and his experience and the children’s book is banned in some states. That’s one of the ways I became aware.

I don’t think Asians are invisible in America, I think they are quietly powerful. In my daughters very expensive private school 65% of the student body are Asian. I live in one of the most prestigious city in the US and it’s predominantly Asian. When you go into our local Hermes, Chanel etc…, most of the customers are Asian. They tend to mind their own business, work hard, take care of family, get educated, go to the best universities and earn lots of money. They just like to do all this under the radar. Yes, their history in the US is painful, but they don’t seem to dwell on the past, instead they thrive for the future.

Can someone please tell me when people from The East (Orient) stopped being called “Oriental” and became “Asians?” This must have occurred during a decade when I was only semi-conscious and it sounds weird to me. Japanese? Yeah, Asian. Whaaat??
