Story time. Was on Vacation in Brazil and a kid at our resort blew off half his arm. They had that powder stuff you use for like gun powder and fireworks. they had it in a 2 litter coke bottle that theu had cut in half. The two boys were making a trail and lighting it on fire. One kid misheard the other kid and he lit it while the kid was still making the volcano at the end. It went super quick and exploded the Bottle in his hand while also taking his whole hand plus a piece half way up to his elbow just gone. I heard the POP and the screaming and ran down to the pool area. There was such a mess but the worst part was the kid was in shock so he turned to me with the nub and asked me if his hand was gone. I lied and told him I didnt know and wrapped it in a towel until more people came to help. We couldnt save his hand there were pieces of it everywhere. Two days later his friend that did not learn his lesson was trying to prove his friend just messed up and ended loosing his hand the same way. Now they have matching nubs and it became something our town always mentions.

as someone that has been hit by fireworks 7 times, i can relate to hating fireworks.... and no i didnt set off any of those fireworks, and the first time it happened was straight to my face(thankfully i turned and my hair shielded me and was set on fire)

I hate fireworks so so much, in Mexico it’s a cultural thing to play with them during holidays and all the cats and dogs get scared it’s awful so every times this happens I cannot lie I feel a little bit of joy

my family had a rule with all fireworks. you light it once. doesnt matter if it goes off or not, put it in the water bucket with the extra long tongs at the end, not while it is active. we also hosed down many after being done.
