Birth control helps with PCOS because it balances hormones, makes your periods more regular, lowers male hormones like testosterone (which helps with acne and hair growth), and protects the uterus from problems caused by not having periods regularly. don't get me wrong, people get upset because birth control doesn’t fix what’s really causing PCOS, it just helps with symptoms like periods and acne. A lot of people want to understand their body and fix the problem, not just cover it up. Birth control can also have side effects, so some people don’t want it as the first option. personally for me, it has only helped me.
