"go to the park" translated go to the designated area, I hated that, oart of the fun as a kid was to explore find a cool spot and play. same with skating, skate parks popped up and were ill received and avoided

everyone saying that the yard is enough space to play.... there's no shade. no trees large enough to cast meaningful shadows. how they gonna play in the sun for hours and hours? they're gonna get sun burn and skin cancer

also it may be against the HOA to play or have toys on the front yard. White HOA board members hate that. A neighbourhood shouldn't look lived in.

People in our neighborhood fb group post pictures of kids playing from their ring cameras and claim the kids were scoping the neighborhood to steal things. They threaten to hurt them. Same people who say kids use tech/are inside too much. It’s fucking wild.
