So thoroughly agreed. There is no one on the planet who has not been painfully abused by another human being at some point. Choosing to thereafter define YOURSELF based on that reality is to give yourself permission to live eternally in a purposeless limbo of self pity, one in which you refuse to contribute, serve, or forgive. It's a type of hell. As a Christ follower, if HE can pardon ME after putting Him on that cross, who am I to permanently choose victimhood at others' hands?

i mean, the civic consciousness or public discourse picked a term and ran with it. Similar terms it has adopted are incel, femcel, alphamale, beta male, tradwife, metoo, etc. But all of these things aren't legitimate or illegitimate based on how pitiful or triumphal they are. That's not a gauge of truth. One can, even, be lonely and not be a victim at the same time. But these things do point to something underlying going on. There are real social issues arising from a nbr of factors. Declining wages, de-industrialization, schools degrading, etc. Men are now below women in higher education degrees and are out of the workforce at prime ages in alarming numbers. We may also be realizing that public schools, staffed more by female teachers and cutting down on physical activity outlets are stunting the development of boys. I just think instead of registering the vibe of the language we're using to dismiss it we shud instead investigate where general discontent is coming from more generally.
