She almost made me cry at the end! 🥺 backstory ::: Kay and I have been having restless nights since we had Ellie. They’ve increasingly gotten worse and we’ve started to wonder if there was something wrong. Kay has had trouble feeding Ellie so we decided to see a consultant that specializes in feeding infants. It turns out, that Kay unfortunately hasn’t had a strong supply due to multiple events that have occurred since birth. One is, that Ellie has a lip and tongue tie causing a poor latch and pain for Kay when she nurses. The consultant gave us a plan/schedule to try to get Ellie’s weight back up and get her fed fully each day. This will help her to sleep better as the reason she hasn’t been sleeping is because she hasn’t been fully fed by Kay causing her to wake up and want food all the time. We’re hoping that by doing this new schedule Ellie will start to get the nutrients she needs to grow and be healthy. Kay feels really guilty about not being able to provide for Ellie but she has been trying so hard, feeding her hourly for almost 10 days.
