@kwpriorrealtor: Arizona Habits That Should Honestly Be in a Handbook for New Residents 👇 1️⃣ Carrying a water bottle like it’s an emotional support animal. You don’t leave home without it, not for errands, not even to grab the mail. Dehydration hits different when it’s 110°+. 2️⃣ Knowing better than to hike mid-day in summer. It doesn’t matter how “fit” you are…if it’s 110°, the trail is closed (or it should be). Every summer, people get seriously hurt or worse. Go at sunrise, or wait for summer to pass. 3️⃣ Only doing laundry after 7PM. APS and SRP hike up rates during the day, so laundry after dark = survival. 4️⃣ Wearing sandals year-round. Yes, even with jeans. Yes, even in December. We never truly say goodbye to flip-flop season. 5️⃣ Sleeping with 3+ fans going. Ceiling fan, AC, tower fan… all must stay on. Otherwise, good luck surviving summer nights. PRO TIP: Invest in a cooling blanket if you don’t have one. IYKYK 6️⃣ Driving 85 on the 202 like it’s NASCAR. The posted speed limit is a suggestion. If you’re going the speed limit, prepare for a tailgater. 7️⃣ Waking up at 5AM just to function If you’re not walking the dog or grocery shopping at sunrise, you’re doing it wrong (and sweating by 9AM). 8️⃣ Avoiding patios all summer. We love a good patio… until May. Then it’s cold brews indoors only. 9️⃣ Checking your seatbelt buckle before touching it. Touch it without looking and you’ll brand yourself. Once is all it takes to learn. 🔟 Owning 47 pairs of sunglasses. One in every car, bag, drawer. UV rays here are no joke (National Weather Service Phoenix). There's one more thing from Arizona. In the springtime you could travel east to west, or west to east to see the very beautiful flower fields on Baseline Road. You could stop at sny one if them and buy flowers. That's Phoenix. That's Arizona.

Forgot to mention: swamp coolers before AC. Hot, it's not hot, it's Phoenix at it's finest.

When you circle the snake for awhile, looking for triangular head and rattles. Could be a gopher snake 🤷🏼‍♀️Then just get the hose and spray it to move it away.
