@_amberinamerica: Last week I decided it was time to try and start healing my body with food. I’ve continued to do a tonne of research on foods to include and avoid to help with gut healing, hormone balancing, fertility boosting and there’s so much more than I included here so bear with me as I share everything I figure out over the next few weeks and months. I made 3 healthy alternative sweet treats that I’ll share tomorrow - they turned out better than I expected as someone with a ravenous sweet tooth!! I did FINALLY stop feeling the morning sickness mid last week - the same day I got my period back 🫠🫠🫠 it’s been a pretty rough week praying for a bit of a physical let up sooooooooon!! #hormoneimbalance #pregnancylossawareness #miscarriageawareness #ttc #gutfriendlyfoods
Amber, this miscarriage was mentally more traumatic than the first and Josh is gone. Your heart and mind are very tired right now. Give yourself a break!

If you are still symptomatic after a miscarriage, the reason could be retained placenta tissue. By now you HCG numbers should be a 0.

Is there ANY possibility there’s another baby in there? Not crazy that often a twin is lost.

You have your son. Feel blessed. Some women can have any. Bless your son, and feel grateful, and more good fortune will come your way. God bless.

Straight up steak and beefy items are my go to when I'm feeling blah from my period. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was so sick for months. When I finally was able to eat simple pot roast everything turned around and I started feeling loads better! Our recipe is just stew meat, red potatoes cubed, diced celery, carrots, sweet onion, beef broth (sometimes adding a bit of water if needed) and pot roast mix from the seasoning aisle. Throw everything in the crockpot the night before on low. When you're ready to eat we also make egg noodles as the bed to pour the pot roast over and then top with a heap of shredded mild cheddar. So simple but so hearty, tasty and nurishing!
