I broke my neck on January 10. I was a full quadriplegic. It’s six months later now I have full use of both my arms and my right leg and my left leg is still coming back. I can stand, but I can’t take steps but it’s getting better.

In October 2022, Adriana Chechik attended TwitchCon in San Diego, where she participated in a booth activity hosted by Lenovo and Intel. The booth featured a foam pit where attendees could duel and jump in afterward. After winning a match, Chechik performed a celebratory jump into the foam pit and landed on her tailbone. The pit was shallow and poorly padded, leading to a severe spinal injury. She broke her back in multiple places and required surgery, during which doctors inserted a rod and several screws into her spine. Chechik later revealed that she lost feeling in parts of her body and had to relearn how to walk. She wasn’t the only person seriously injured in that foam pit. Another attendee, a woman named Wren, reportedly dislocated her knee and broke her ankle after jumping in. While she wasn’t paralyzed like Chechik, she was wheelchair-bound for a time and also needed surgery.

I also had a spinal stroke, it’s very very rare. I am lucky, I can walk and use one hand now. I can’t believe I found someone else who has the same thing as me! ❤️❤️

if it was a spinał chord stroke which means there was lack of blood flow to the spinał chord and she was still moving when she got to the hospital, couldn't the doctors have saved her from becoming paralyzed if they had fixed the issue in time??
