“This movie never mentioned Israel” — five seconds later — “I loved the part where Hawkgirl drops Netanyahu.” I’m Israeli, and I actually enjoyed the movie. It’s a fictional story drawing from thousands of geopolitical events in recent history, so I prefer not to label it as “pro-Palestinian” or “anti-Israeli.” What’s ironic is that someone here criticized Israelis who didn’t like the film — and then made the exact kind of comparison he just condemned.
