I had a grease fire and remembered I wasn’t supposed to use water. But in the moment I couldn’t remember what you’re supposed to use instead. My mind went to sand. There wasn’t any sand in my kitchen, obviously, so I used 2 pounds of sugar 😭😭😭😭 I have a fire blanket now

How does it take someone 1.5 minutes to reach their basement fire extinguisher and another 1.5 minutes to get back to their kitchen? How big is their house?!

Whenever we fry something we have the lid right there ready to snuff out a fire. We have a container of baking soda next to the stove. We have a fire blanket hanging on the wall across from the stove. And we have two fire extinguishers right outside the front door of the apartment.
