(I’m not sure if this translates the right way but) tiger mosquitoes are SO MUCH WORSE than just normal mosquito bites. They leave bruising with me too, and they hunt both during the day and twilight. I’ll have a bruise still even after it’s been like two weeks since I was stung/bitten. They’ve been migrating all over Europe these past few summers

A number of spider and other bug venoms contain anticoagulants. I suspect that’s what’s happened to you.

I have had mosquito bites in Thailand and they can be painful. so I bought some repellent spray from the pharmacy

Oh, it's a bug we call "Taon" in French. There are different kinds, they're especially common in the country side and they thrive in warm weather. They're like mosquitos on steroids.

Lots of little varmits out there whose bite/sting can pack a punch, and you never see what did it. The only one I fear is a brown recluse spider (not what bit you), but it can be disconcerting and painful/itchy. Hope it heals quickly ❤️

I got a bruise like yours (same size, but mine was much darker & was warmer than normal to the touch) from a mosquito bite during a week-long camping trip. A doctor friend called in antibiotics & if memory serves it was the being warm that concerned him.
