I left England on 21k gbp in 2017, my best year was just over 750k, my average is around 380k (very blessed to have had a business take off in a very big way)

Brit living in the USA and agree with everything you are saying. We have a much better quality of life. We are almost a year in here. We both work less hours for more money. Yes it’s not cheap here but the wage increase offsets the cost of living plus a bit more.

I used to live outside of Boston, but we relocated to the Charleston South Carolina area four years ago. We still have an Oceanside home in Kennebunkport Maine that we will be at next month! Love your video blogs!

People don’t seem to understand that in spite of differences in government policies or social safety nets, sometimes people really do just find better opportunities for themselves in other countries that lead to an increase in their quality of life. And sometimes the opposite is true! Your quality of life won’t necessarily be better in a country with a more generous social safety net. Not everyone’s experience is universal.

Doubled salary in the U.S. sounds great… until you factor in healthcare, taxes, and no safety nets! The real game changer for you guys is TikTok money and growth potential. The content is very niche and can’t be replicated in the UK. Me and my Mrs are from London and live in Chicago 8 years now. Cities we live are pretty similar, but if your not getting that 3rd income. Lifestyle becomes difficult.
