@interfamily1: Such a simple and yet a hugely beneficial way to care for adults and children. Let’s hope we see more of this 🙂 #daycare #intergenerational #intergenerationaldaycare #nursinghome #schoolvisits #adultdaycare #childcare
my only concern would be the number of infections young children go through.the old folks could be getting sick as well

Most elderly people in homes have dementia and are not behaving normally. This would scare young children. Some residents strip off, some shout out etc so you would need to be selective.

To be fair some old age people would thrive and not deteriorate having little ones around- while the children would have wise people among them - good idea-

Did you see the documentary a few years ago where they introduced a nursery to a retirement home? It was so good for everyone ❤️

this is mutually beneficial on both ends. the elders get to enjoy the children while the children learn to respect elders 😊 aww

in the small town of Oklahoma I grew up in we had a preschool inside the nursing home! perfect way for the elderly to stay active and mentally stimulated and for children to be exposed to the reality of getting old & eventually death. it’s something our society is needs more of, caring for our elderly & embracing our humanity

The comments surprise me, in my experience many elders miss when their grandchildren were little and are happy to have children around.

My concern would be some elderly residents could be a person that likes the little ones too much 😡they would have to very watched so that the children are protected

Has no one seen the Channel 4 documentary called ‘Old People’s Home for 4 Year Olds’? The study proved that older adults being around younger children improved their memory, cognitive ability and physical strength. They literally brought the life back into their lives

Yall have clearly not worked with elderly before. They LOVE it when children come ans they can fuss over them.

Well putting all the negatives to one side i think this is lovely - with proper safeguards in place - a lot of interaction between young and old is a wonderful thing - lighten up peeps

It would be so sweet if they did this more. Plus the older folks would have the option to leave whenever they felt like it. Nobody would be forced to hang out with kids if that isn’t their cup of tea!
