this is so helpful for singing any genre, especially when recording in studio with a mic. even when there's a pop filter. reducing plosives and "s" sounds is so helpful

I think it depends on how well you want to pronounce the words in the language you are singing. It may be a problem in English because plosives are sometimes aspirated. In Romance languages (like Italian), they are not, so it's easier not to leak excess breath.
