Why do people feel the need to share their most personal experiences on TikTok with strangers? I just don’t get it. Don’t they have friends or family they can confide in about their trauma? In this case, it’s not even your own accident you’re sharing—it feels like exploiting your husband’s suffering just to put yourself in the spotlight. If I were Mike, I definitely wouldn’t want anyone putting the painful details of a life-changing accident out there for everyone to see. It almost feels like a violation of privacy.

Yeah, Carpe Diem is run by a mob corrupt guy, as you already know by them not having working fire extinguishers and not having to pay about it is a dead give away. Sorry you and your partner had to go through this, horrible accident. Me myself being from a small island in Croatia I always pray nothing happens to me while Im there because you have to wait so much until you come to main land and to a real hospital

This is so insane. I saw this first hand. As I was walking up to the club, I saw your husband rolling around in the seawater covered in burns then later unconscious from the shock. I could not believe what was in front of my eyes. My boyfriend and I always wondered what happened to him and prayed for him that day. I am so glad that God protected him And that he was able to make a full recovery for the most part. Wow.

Omg this is wild, in 2022 the same thing happened to me with a flaming shot on Sail Croatia! Someone dropped one on me and set me on fire and I had to roll on the ground. I had to go to Split to go to hospital and was horrible experience they gave me 0 pain relief. They told me it happens super often I can’t believe they still do this

Just so everyone knows: if you pour liquor or gas on a fire it will travel up and into the container with the accelerant and explode. NEVER pour something on an active fire!

A gf of mine in high school took a flaming shot of fireball. Her whole face was covered in 3rd degree burns! It was horrendous! She luckily recovered but was in the hospital for awhile. Never take flaming shots!

Just a PSA no blame! Putting butter on a burn like that is a huge NO. Please don’t ever let anyone do that. It will make it worse by trapping heat in. I’m so happy to hear your husband survived. I can’t imagine how awful it’s been for both of you.

For as difficult as it is for you, thank you for sharing. Glad Mike is healing and doing well. To each of you, your experience is extremely important to keep sharing, regardless of how long it’s been. ‘Cause with every plane that flies south, there are dozens of young people excited for their exotic holiday in the sun; not conscious of how safety standards are … different in foreign countries and barely recognizable in some. They’ll be caught up in enjoying the time of their lives, with no consideration as to how close they may be to tragedy - fire in a packed dance club, poorly maintained water taxi … etc, etc. So yes, it’s extremely important to share. Doing so WILL help some be more conscious when they find themselves in a similar situation. 👌🏼❤️🙏🏼
