I was home alone and sleeping since it was a school night and I wake up to yelling and the front door slam and I thought it was just a regular fight but since it got rlly intense I called my sister cause she was at a friend's house I told her what was going on and my mom came in my room told me to call the cops I got up locked my door and started balling my eyes out and my sister got her friend to call the cops on her phone cause my sister wanted to stay on the phone with me and then a few minutes later my dad unlocked my door with a silverware and I didn't look at him he was trying to say it's ok when it clearly wasn't and like few more minutes later I went out of my room looking around to see what was broken and saw the whole corner gone of a new vacuum cleaner box cause he threw it at my mom twice but wheen the cops showed up I told them I didn't want my dad in the house so they took him to our camper and like the next morning got up for school drained and in 2nd period my mom's friend picked me up and took me home and my sister was there with her friend and her friends mom we got our stuff packed and got out of there and spent like 2 or 3 weeks at my sister's friend's house and we went to our grandma's and now they have custody of us

My sister and I always warn each other if my dad is drunk. He gets mad when he’s drunk. He’s never played a finger on us but there is always that fear lingering when he yells at us. My parents room is next to mine so I can hear every word he says to my mom. He was drunk one night and he told her she deserved to sleep in the dog crate because that’s all she’s worth and that she’s useless. She does all of the cooking and cleaning and shopping and everything. All he does is sit on our garage and drink complaining about politics
