I was never a conservative but the democrats lost me in the primaries with Clinton and Sanders. Since then they have done everything to erode my trust in them.(just to be clear I never voted for him)I have gotten way more into politics. I now see the difference between the two parties. Democrats hold the values that I want to see in the world. They just need better messaging and leadership. The conservatives have nothing to offer besides hate and the lack of moral values. Glad to have you on the blue side. 💙💙💙

I used to be a conservative. that being said, I still see some value of conservatism without the extremes. Why can't we have conservative values and still give people respect and dignity like they deserve? I really dislike the polarity of our political system. why does that have to be left or right? I find myself in the center and I get hate from both sides. Too much of either side is a bad thing... The Best of both sides can be amazing.

Was a Republican for 20 years. I left when Sarah Palin started spouting racist dog whistles. Haven't voted for one since. I consider myself an independent because I still don't agree with some Democrat ideals, but I won't return to Republican until MAGA are completely purged from the party.

We’re begging Conservatives to open their eyes to what’s happening, but when they do, we’re also critical. As a former conservative, I believe anyone is capable of seeing what’s really happening and make that decision to change. There’s nothing nefarious about it.

Don't be dismayed by the vehemently negative responses though, because for people to begin to question the ideals of the cult-like group to which they belong requires them to question their own beliefs and identity. There are bad people in every single group, race, religion, ethnicity, profession, you name it. Don’t let them affect your values because you’re gonna run into them everywhere. I was a Democrat for 20 years and now the party doesn’t represent my values anymore. That being said, It’s a crazy world. Good luck!
