Intralesional injections made my spots worse. Caused atrophy as well after 5 rounds. No growth, more loss. Currently on doxy, a 10 day dose of dexamethasone, zinc, Vit D, copper, Allegra, just started hydrochloroquoine yesterday. (In a 2 month flare right now) I have Hashimotos thyroid disease with a “normal” TSH on Armour and a thyroid antibody peroxidase of 107.8! I feel I really need a JAK since treatment has been resistant. Derm won’t prescribe. Any advice, doc? Thanks for reading!!

Posts like this drive me crazy. There seem to be many TT who are spinning misinformation on this subject. Unfortunately, you are using the incorrect terminology. Alopecia Universalis is total body hair loss. Alopecia Areata is partial hair loss such as bald spots. patches or hair loss in sections. I'm not an MD nor did i need to Google one word in this response. I"m actually a Alopecia Universalis sufferer for 40+years - since I was 10 years old. The root cause has nothing to do with genetics, stress, or any foreign virus or external factors. There is no cure - steroids injections, Minoxidil, oral, or topical solutions will NOT reverse the condition:for Alopecia Universalis or Totalis patients. Your Welcome!

I used to have to shave my legs but now I barely get like 7 hairs on my whole leg. I am 45 though so could it be my age or? Like my legs are so smooth lol
