If you take care of the pool regularly it’s a myth at 3-5 years. Maybe clean sand bed but the sand rounds goes to 80 percent for ever so not changing mine it’s 14 years now and I won’t ever change it until a lateral issue. Total myth.

we replaced the sand, did all the chemicals and it's STILLLLLL cloudy! floc, clarifier, shock is not working! I brushed and my husband vacuumed to waste. nothing is working.

Had the sand filter about 3 years. This year, no matter how much cya I add the level stays low. I’ve also added about 6 gallons of liquid chlorine and about 4-6 shock, levels still read low, to a 10,000 gallon above ground and I’m still a cloudy blue. Help!
