The Wella ColorCharm Medium Smokey Ash Blonde Permanent Color Cream worked very gently on my level 7(ish) hair. I mixed the color cream with 10 volume developer because I wanted it to deposit the color and not lift any. I left it on for the full 45 minutes suggested. I did my roots first and then after 20 minutes added it to the rest of my hair. I left my bangs out until the last 10 minutes of processing. I love the way it turned out and it was easy to use. It lightened up slightly since I first applied it, but it still has a nice ashy, not orange tone. My hair felt so soft afterwards and it didn't have a chemical smell for days like some dyes can leave you with.
