This is my 9th baby, and my 4th baby in the last three years (yes, you read that right — God really said be fruitful, and we let Jesus take the wheel 😅). The first few days of postpartum can be the roughest: the soreness, the contractions (those after-birth pains are no joke), the hormone crashes, and learning how to move again when everything feels… rearranged. The truth is, the 4th trimester isn’t always those pretty, Instagram-worthy moments. It’s raw, sacred, and often painful — a season where your body heals from a truly traumatic experience while you’re still showing up for a tiny human who needs you 24/7. Some people watch my videos and wonder why I share “too much,” why I don’t hide the real moments, or why I show my husband helping me with basic things like changing my pad or showering. But here’s the thing: I deserve to be pampered and cared for. I didn’t earn this support — I deserve this softness simply because I’m worthy of it. I didn’t work hard enough to be loved back to life — I am loved back to life because I’m his wife, the mother of his children, the woman who’s carried and birthed nine lives with him. That’s why Antwan shows up for me in ways I once had to survive on my own — because I was “strong enough.” But now, I honor my body enough to let it be cared for, and I’m so grateful for a husband who knows that caring for me is just as important as caring for our newborn. Every mother, no matter how many babies she’s had, deserves tenderness in the 4th trimester. And as for me?
