@draconiamorningstar: We should never allow a man to mistreat us, disrespect us, put us down, or violate us no matter what they are going through. You are sacred. You are to be devoted to. You are a goddess in your own right. You are a sovereign being and deserve to be treated as such. Create a life you love so much that a relationship is a plus, adds value to your life. You should already be and feel whole within yourself otherwise next thing you know — you are comprising your wellbeing and sovereignty to try to have someone outside of you heal you. And if you are trying to heal them, that’s just a distraction from your healing, your own shadow. I get that’s it’s painful but if I can do it, you can do it. We are no different. We don’t need to be perfect to be in a relationship but we sure as hell shouldn’t be dependent on anyone for any reason. It should be a ping-pong of energy back and forth, reciprocation, balance. Side note— To quote Cher, “men are dessert”. Reason why you’re starving is you cannot survive on a piece of cake. Romanticize your own life instead of romanticizing the potential of your relationship. Tune in to what you see in front of you and ask yourself, is this what I want?
