Great point but what a pity that so many of our celebrated golf courses are now following a rip-off green fee model and effectively shutting out Irish golfers. This was never a thing in many of these courses up to relatively recently.

You should have played corballis golf course right next to the island in donabate, it’s cheaper and harder to play with no caddy needed. Donabate has 2 lynx and 3 park land courses within a 6 mile radius, great to hear you promote our area though. Thank you 🙏

My caddy at Ballybunion 2 weeks ago was a member and ANNUAL local member dues were $550… and ballybunion is a top 30 course in the world!
