what is so dangerous? somebody is gonna turn on my AC? get acces to my security camera? you can also say this about every tech ever invented. cars should not have remotes to unlock the door etc. there is always some type of risk with every tech but there are so much more benefits from it.

I watched Louis rosssman on yt and he said his 3k LG tv has automatacly turned on that you agree that they can use your information for what ever they want. since then I've disconnected it from the internet. but somehow still it's tells me there is a new update out.....

I agree but the thing is, if you have a older Roborock for example, you can’t just restrict internet access or put it on a VLAN. Because without Matter, you only can control it via the App or Home Assistant with the CloudAPI :-/
