A homeless man rode up to me on a bike in a parking lot and I said immediately “I don’t talk to strangers in parking lots” and he said don’t blame ya and rode away lol

I RAN for my life. He didn’t say a word. He stopped in middle of parking lot - Looked around - then looked at me. My body has never reacted like that. I pushed the cart and ran to my car and BOLTED. I still get scared thinking about it

A while back nearby my city, a mom was walking out of a grocery store in the middle of the day with her little boy in the seat and some lady charged them and killed her little boy. Right there in the middle of a parking lot in broad daylight. I remember thinking how many times I’m just unaware of my surroundings & feel “safe” because it’s daylight and somewhere mundane like a damn grocery store! That poor mother and child 💔

Practice your RBF as well. It'll discourage them from approaching you to begin with. Also, controversial opinion, a grown man (stranger) has no business asking a woman or children for help. They could have asked another man - they chose a woman/child for a reason.

Rando man stopped me in a parking lot asking me to follow him to gas station bc his debit card “wouldn’t work”. I said no. He told me his daughter always helps ppl. I said ok, call your daughter. He switched up so fast and got aggressive and rude. He had intentions that had nothing to do w/ helping him get gas.
