I am an accountant and have worked with many ERP consultants on implementations over the years. I think it is kind of a niche area where you have to be an expert on just on system like SAP. It’s is possible to be expert of multiple systems as accounting principles, procurement and hr processes are usually the same. It is not something you learn in a month, but I find that people looking for tech jobs are looking for jobs they can learn really quickly.
