I hear you, and I used to feel this way ..until i realized that one day the interruptions will stop, those knocks wont be there and I will be the fool who wished for it. That task i was trying to accomplish at work, I wont even remember. Cherish what you have my man, kids grow up, relationships matter, your family comes first.

I have the same issue. I ended up putting a box outside my door with a red and green light. green means I was working but it was ok to come in. red means I needed silence and to not come in. then I had a switch on my desk. when I was done for the day the green light would turn off. really helps the younger kids cause then they would running around and tell everyone to be quiet 😂
