I agree, if people know you have been trading for a while and they are not traders, they tell you to quit. They tell you its gambling. Trading to me is like gardening. You plant a seed and you may not see progress rught away but there is so much happening beneath the surface that cant be measured. You just trust the process and journal until you set yourself up with your edge, patience, and results follow over time. You have to go through the motions and learn the shit you need to learn. eventually trading becomes boring but you keep showing up and that consistency, knowledge, and emotional intelligence becomes second nature and at that point you know you are going to be profitable soon. Its one of those "aha" moments.

I think people struggling to be profitable is lack of discipline in various aspects of trading. No daily journaling, no continual education, and not learning from mistakes. Also accepting emotions are signals and not your enemy. But that’s just me. I highly recommend journaling and actually being honest with yourself.
