okay so the pool scene proves that jeremiah has always loved belly but let her have her thing with conrad because he knew she liked him which was very respectful and mature of him, and also conrad acted completely insane at the funeral and how he treated nichole is my main thing because that’s not fair to her at all and i know that nichole isn’t belly but he shouldn’t have treated a girl like that and his apology clearly wasn’t sincere. also i know jeremiah would’ve handled the whole funeral situation differently, and his mom was dy1ing too it wasn’t just conrad’s mom and jere was there for her while conrad was at school, and then when he came back he was so mean to jere. i also think that like jere didn’t really cheat he was dr7nk and sad and upset and he clearly didn’t mean anything by it and they were on a break and jere and belly lasted 3 more years than conrad and belly but i also completely understand people that are team conrad because that’s completely valid but i just think jere is better for belly but that doesn’t mean he’s a better boyfriend

Conrad is extremely emotionally unavailable and simply doesn’t know how to communicate. Yes he lost his mom and he wasn’t doing well mentally, but so did Jeremiah. And even before Susanna passed, he wasn’t a good friend or boyfriend to Belly whatsoever. I’m not saying that Jeremiah has absolutely no flaws—he does, but that’s not the point. Conrad played with Belly‘s feelings for years, showing her signs that he was interested one day, and completely ignoring her the next. The tiniest things throw him off the edge and he holds grudges against her. He never communicated his feelings to her in a healthy or positive way, and always made those kind of conversations an argument. “ I ThOuGht you KnEw!!” How could she have known?? You don’t speak to her?? I will never understand how people turn that scene into him “yearning”… no that’s him not taking accountability for his actions 😭😭😭. Not to mention ruining her prom?? People down play that part like it’s nothing.. that’s one of the most important and memorable events of a girls life. He took advantage of the fact that Belly has liked him forever by thinking he could just act however he wanted and she wouldn’t break things off because she “needed him that bad”.
