People moaning about money spend on others kids. Your taxes are not personalised to you. Why do I have to pay for your doctors and surgeries and schooling? It’s how government spending works. Stop being so incredibly selfish. All me me me, without recognising others do exactly the same for your needs.

Jo :
People moaning about taxes, you were kids once, the world is not just gonna stop re-populating. Kids grow into adults who then pay taxes.

@Kez: @Kez: What I think is diabolical, is that if you and your partner have to work because of how the country is now to afford housing/ food/ clothing/ essentials but if you earn together £100,000 you don’t get any help. People will say ‘don’t have kids if you can’t afford them’ or ‘you earn enough to afford it’ why should we as parents who work get no help from the government but people who choose not to work and get every benefit going who are at home get the help to put their children in nursery!!

I use this its handy but the 500 a quarter doesn't last long when you're paying £1400 a month on childcare. so every 4th month I pay more because the allowance has been used

do people not have other family members to leave the children with? surely one of them will have parents that will look after the kid?

You get this on top of your free childcare allowance, (30 hours for 3 year olds), but only for working parents and cannot claim Universal Credit childcare too.

Shouldn't have to go hunting for what people are entitled to. They make it clear enough about our council tax.

wish we never paid in to childcare vouchers.they started school, couldn't get a place in after school clubs, so over £1000 just sat there unusable coz we moved and it just goes back to the government. won't even let me donate it to someone.
