Lou Federici :
Meat rabbits lack a specific protein. You can't survive a rabbit meat alone

Did you say "meat rabbits"? I'm gonna end up naming and keeping 400 bunnies, I can't handle that.

I feel like the hardest part is actually the ”processing” part I feel like I can’t kill the same animal I’ve been taking care of for the last 12 months 😭

everyone saying poor rabbits as if they don't know that homesteading is about raising your own food :/ this is so much more humane and ethical than most of the meat we have access to

People want chickens for quick eggs and meat, I don’t think rabbits outweigh that need

Nobody wants to eat rabbits. And they dont produce eggs. Ducks are a good idea though. I absolutely love duck eggs.

Rabbit is one of the only meats that can get you sick if you eat too much of their meat. Rabbit poisoning was common in the British Isles for hundreds of of years.
