Rootkits wont show use malwarebytes to scan make sure to go to settings and turn on scan for rootkits

install bit defender, scan, if it says there is nothing there is most likely nothing, although what hes saying IS a way. dont trust virus total

Ye no, almost all modern viruses dont hide as a separate process or auto runs/connection they embed themselves into existing ones and make sure to mimick it exactly. And virus total is the easiest thing to bypass why bad parties have it linked on their malware to "prove" it's safe. 🤦😆

In my experience. You're still not getting good detection of screen connect and other RATS. And RATS are way more prevalent than everyone thinks.

When I was hacked the only sign was, my Wi-Fi on my PC was switching on and off randomly for no reason. And it might have been working slightly slower.

I’d say beware of false positives,Ex. A process getting marked malicious by 1 vendor aka 1/72 on the VT column. If it were 5+ then that’ll be something more concerning. For tcp connections, you can also go to the Virutotal and check IP/domain reputations too
