Ugh, these comments... Catholics do not worship Mary! We venerate her, meaning: to regard w deep respect. We do not pray TO her, we ask her to pray FOR us. Scripture calls ALL OF US to pray for one another. And if we ask friends + family to keep us in prayer .. why wouldn't we include the mother of God?! She's an advocate for all of His people. Catholics are clear .. Mary gave birth to our Savior, but ONLY JESUS provides salvation.♥️🕊️

You pray to Mary… some Catholics pray multiple times a day to Mary.. this is explicitly written in the Bible NOT to do that

No hate. Mary was a human. She called Jesus her Savior. Our example of how to act, speak, walk like is in Christ alone. Mary followed Christ. We should all want to worship Christ as she did.

It is weird! I grew up Catholic, am now non-denominational. I don’t agree with praying to her (goes against what the Bible says), but she is a beautiful example of sacrifice and faith. Love her.

Mary is a profoundly important figure in Scripture because of her faith and obedience, especially in bearing the Messiah. We can certainly admire her character, but the Bible does not instruct us to venerate her or model our entire view of womanhood around her. There are many faithful women in Scripture - like Ruth, Esther, Deborah, and the Proverbs 31 woman - who offer diverse examples of godly femininity. Respect for Mary is warranted, but not reverence.

I grew up as a Catholic & my best friend was a Baptist— I remember at 14 defending Mary’s celebration in Catholicism to her mom (who is and was a second mom to me). My argument then was: God picked her, why would we ignore her? How dare we? — To her credit, she agreed it was a good point 😂

the attacks come from the fact that the catholic church has seen a sudden rise in young men converting to the Catholic. And yes. women as well. but the young men out number the women by a lot for coverting. its disturbing that fellow Christians attack the catholic church without knowing the truth.
