Just had one yesterday. Everything I read online terrified me. It didn’t hurt, and only took about 35 minutes. It took longer to get me numb than the actual procedure itself. I almost cancelled my appointment because of the negativity I read online. Today is my first day pain free in almost 3 years. Getting my crown next month. Only thing hurting has been my pockets lol

mine was super painful my dentist did the tiniest numbing w a small needle and she didnt even wait for it to fully numb n she immediately started working on my tooth then she complained that i kept saying it was painful

Hi so I got my first root canal today and it wasn’t bad at all. I didn’t feel a thing. It really dose depend on your dentist though and the anesthesia they give you.

Have had two root canals. They didn’t hurt. It depends on who is doing them. Had a dentist once fill cavities (he said I had 12 cavities, needed 4 appointments) and I cried the entire time during the first one. He didn’t stop. I didn’t go back to him. Went to another dentist… didn’t have any cavities. She’s amazing. Go to good dentists, endodontists, etc. and get proper care!

Mines didn’t hurt they numbed it and I took antibiotics after when I got home and it hasn’t been hurting
