Mason here built about 2-300 fireplaces. That crack is not from foundation if it has a basement. With basement there will be a bumpout for fireplace if its a masonry fireplace place which it looks like. The hearth which is masonry on floor has a slope back to foundation wall. Its there for weight to counter balance the chimney. Too much typing to explain. But this is generally not SERIOUS FOUNDATION. Dont get worked up. I would need more info (pics) but your ok

Not necessary. It can be your foundation settling or the marvel crack for other reasons. Still have a professional check the house foundation

Actually, go another 20 years, you’ll probably notice no changes or little, do nothing and it will save you thousands. Spackle, paint, thousands saved!

That crack that you’re showing is not an indication of a serious foundation issue. That is most likely from improper tile installation, or a heat related stress crack.

I won’t get it from any company that will profit off me hiring them. Structural engineer has nothing to gain. I’ll hire one If I’m worried.

Not necessarily- houses shift seasonally in climates that undergo huge temperature swings. If you have a basement highly- HIGHLY doubt this is a huge issue.

Nope, the house settled beyond the limitations of the stone facade. Structure may be compromised, but more than likely settlement in structural framing.

No lady, that’s not a foundation issue that’s a stone face plate over and around the fireplace of course it’s going to crack.

That’s BS! I have cracks across my whole ceiling and it’s not a foundation issue. It’s actually the way the drywall was tape. My dad was a professional when it came to drywall and finishing and he walked in my house and he said it’s the way they tape that before they put the mud on That’s why you got the crack running across your wall. Not all cracks in walls, ceilings or fireplaces or foundation issues or structural issues. It could be how the person did the work.
