@thesunnahguy: Your children have no expectation. You can literally shape their future in whatever direction you want. The reason you want to give them a smartphone is because you don’t want them to feel left out. Approximately 18% of children aged 7–16 now have a probable mental disorder, a jump from 12% in 2017. This is mainly due to the widespread adoption of smartphones and screens at a young age. Young children are irresponsible in nature, and you will amplify that by giving a device to them from a young age. Believe me when I say this. The later you give your child a smartphone, the better. I’ve never met a parent who is thankful that they gave their child a smartphone before they became teenagers. Far too many parents are regretting it. Please don’t be one of those.
