they had no problem funding the tunnel in Boston which went a mile or 2 cost billions, in California bullet train goes about 400 miles. this is the East Coast West Coast bias

With the amount of time effort and money already put into this project maybe it’s a good thing that it just gets cancelled and some of that money gets allocated. I mean California could use it to help a lot of homeless people because they sure as hell they build a rail system with it.
