Listening to my body whenever it needed rest, being disciplined but harming my body did me no service in terms of growth. Once I started taking my rest/ recovery seriously my body comp changed so much! Also, stress creates so much bloating so trying to balance with ashwaganda or lions mane helped!

At 51, I have trouble with the low rep range. I do 6-8 reps of 400rdls with good form, and my back hurts for a week. I do 6-8 reps of 315 bench, and my shoulder hurts for 2 weeks. I have to go slow, control, with higher failure rep range. :(

i never *feel* like i did enough with 2 or even 3 sets to failure. maxxing out at 8 reps twice and then moving on is like…… it feels like i didnt do anything, at all….
