I’m going to leave. not because I hate my parents, or those around me but because I hate who I’ve become. I want to find the real me, not the version of myself shaped by my sisters, cousins, aunts, and my mom. I love my mom with all my heart, but I can’t stand the way I feel about myself. Growing up as a boy raised by women taught me how to be a gentleman and how to respect women, and I’m grateful for that. But it also came with its downsides. People assume I’m gay. I act feminine, and I hate that part of myself, not because there’s anything wrong with it, but because it doesn’t feel like me. One day, I’m going to move to a different country and start fresh. I want to figure out who I really am and come back happier. I know I won’t regret it. And even if the people around me don’t understand or support it, that’s okay. I’ll still go because I need to do this for me and ik my mom will be proud of me and that’s all I need.

I always tell my friends that. I'm going to make it happen on my own, independently, and quietly, without anyone else knowing. I'll definitely miss my mom, but I'm also doing this for her. I want her to be proud that her daughter can study abroad independently.

People assume you want to leave cause you hate your family or friends, but no sometimes it’s only because you feel like you suffocate in this country even if you had a lot and a lot of good memories. For me the death of someone I love make it for me impossible to live her cause all I see is her and the fact that I will never see her again. So I will leave and hope that she will not be disappointed by this decision..
