@startoverstrategy: Replying to @Kevin Batson this isn’t even addressing what he said about slavery, all@Women submitting to all men, mental health, or the teachings about abuse that came from the biblical counseling he promoted in his seminary. The events mentioned are based on reporting by investigative journalist Julie Roys and others. The claims involve allegations that have not been admitted to or publicly addressed in detail by John MacArthur or Grace Community Church. No legal findings of wrongdoing have been made. #divorce #dv #biblicalmarriage #johnmacarthur
Allegedly. David was called a man after God’s own heart and he certainly was not perfect.

Thank you for speaking the truth about this. I remember John MacArthur from back in college, the 90's, and the big controversy with him was his thing of Lordship salvation. knowing about these things, learning about how he covered up sins against women and children for who knows how long, really disappoints me. however, it doesn't deter my faith in God and never will.

He was a great Bible teacher, but I disagree with him about 20% of the time. His views on mental health and counseling were just wrong. He believes all mental health issues are sins and not really psychological issues. I also disagree with how he publicly shames people. The church did a horrible job in that abuse case, no excuse. Though he said he did not agree with abuse in marriage, he did not allow women to leave the marriage.

Exactly! Likewise with Experiencing God- Henry Blackaby now says you know it’s God’s voice only as you look back. 😡

Jesus said it would be better to tie a millstone around one’s neck than harm a child or spiritual youth. Not everyone who preached or healed in His Name knows Him. Jesus is very clear on n this. So popularity on earth isn’t the equivalent of Kingdom expectation.

He was also wrong about our position towards the gov. He accepted gov’s position in a way God never gave such authority. He even advised the police to arrest anti-abortion protesters.

yes!!!! I'm sorry his family lost him (a husband, father, grandfather...), but I'm not gonna lie and say "Christianity lost a great teacher." I'm hoping those hurt by his wrong teachings and unbiblical practices can move on.

You gotta remember that you’re talking to people with very low emotional maturity and very low logic and reasoning skills. Most of the people have severe black and white thinking. They tend to idealize a pastor or a preacher. And their brain has a hard time assessing and processing nuance and gray areas. they can’t fathom that a pastor and a preacher can be good and bad at the same time. This leads many people to idolatry. Where they can’t hold their leaders accountable because to them they are like a golden calf
