@parkplaceabode: Here’s part 2 of the miter stand build and a little tutorial on how to make these simple, cost-effective drawers that are perfect for workshops! No need to buy any drawer slides or worry about hardware wearing out as the bottom of the drawer acts as its own slide! 🙌🏼 If you remember, I used this same method 6 months ago to make the sets of drawers for my workbench and they all slide just as good as day one! Tip: I make sure to sand all of my pieces and edges with 220 grit before installing any of the plywood pieces to ensure that they’re super smooth in order to have the smoothest glide. I haven’t had any issues with them sticking or having too much friction. But you can take the extra step of using a wax paste if wanted. Having that extra 1/8” of wiggle room on each side of the drawer as well as in the groove helps too!
