@weddingprocass: l the way that you address a wedding invitation can help clarify who is invited! #weddinganswer #weddingplanningtip #weddingtiktok #weddingplanner #2027bride #2025bride #2026bride
I know it’s not etiquette but I purposely address Mrs. First Name and Mr. First Name Last Name 💅

Is this example okay to address: Mr. John and Mrs. Jane Smith I don’t like only writing the man’s first name.

I would never put Mr and Mrs his name, she has her own name!

I read that the person with the higher rank (doctor, clergy, govt. official/army ranking) is listed first regardless of gender so like Dr. Jane and Mr. John Smith

I would also address the issue of “and Family” does not mean adult children and their boyfriend or family unless specifically. Noted.

What do you do if you’re inviting a whole household but the parents don’t share the same last name?

You can tell which people weren’t library nerds growing up who haunted the etiquette books and hoping to find something you hadn’t read already.

We didn't think about any of this so put on Zola/invites the nicknames that people have gone by for decades (ie Mel for Melinda) and then they weren't able to RSVP bc they tried submitting their full name on the site LOL

Do you have to use a title (mrs mr)? I don’t feel like doing that

I've always gone with if they're married it's Mr. than Mrs. But if the couple isn't married, it's Miss than Mr. I don't know if this is super old fashioned & fallen out of fashion.

Bar question: I know you've discussed for to stock alcohol, but what about mixers? Our package has basic Coke, Diet, Tonic, Sparkling Water and Cranberry Juice only. Is this enough?

How would I address a household that has different last names. It’s an aunt and her two kids who have their father’s last name. So for example Jane Doe, Billy Bob and Kelly Bob.

So when you’re addressing the envelope, do you address to “Jane doe and guest” or “Jane Doe” and then inside the invitation indicate she can have a +1? This genuinely intrigues me. My daughter is getting married in early 2027, so I’m gathering info as I go along lol.
