I asked my dad for a Jansport backpack when I was a freshman in HS. He told me it had to last all four years because it was $60. I still have it 27 years later 😳

I spent literally $200 on the Toy Story pottery barn backpack + matching lunch box + matching bento box. It’s still in PERFECT condition. Could absolutely use it this year too if we wanted to but even if it was trashed, it’s what my baby wanted🤷🏼♀️Yall would hate me

My backpack from college lasted all of college and law school then I used it for several years as carry on. It basically looks brand new. It was a North Face purchased in 2008ish (I may have used it some in high school too). It wasn’t cheap at the time, but also sometimes the quality is worth the price tag. I don’t see why people are upset? It’s not their bank account paying for it.

I found a state backpack on clearance at Marshall’s for $20 2 years ago, and it is still looks brand new! They clean up so nice! I wouldn’t pay $100 for it but it is nice:)

I bugged my mom for a $90 Fjallraven Kanken backpack for my freshman year of highschool back in 2019, I am an incoming college senior and i still use that backpack 😭
