I volunteer at a homeless meal outreach, and I always make sure to bus their plates, bring confinements out, and treat it like a restaurant experience. I like to pretend I’m their waitress and they’re customers on a busy shift

This week I put out a cooler with ice cold bottles of water for all the construction workers building homes on my street. At first it was a little inconvenient to stop every day and get a bag of ice for the next day but seeing everyone appreciate the cold water made it so worth it 🥹 I hope it’s made them feel seen, welcome, and appreciated!

Yes! I’ve loved being able to do this more as I became increasingly financially stable. Sending people random flowers or a surprise meal/dessert from Uber Eats when they’re having a tough time is one of my biggest joys! Just saying I’m thinking about you and expecting nothing in return is a good way to live.
