@drivermatty: A taxi driver has been reported for summons after stopping in a live lane on the A50 dual carriageway, causing significant disruption and posing a serious danger to other motorists. Staffordshire Police Roads Unit highlighted the incident in a post on X (formerly Twitter), sharing an image of the vehicle involved – a grey Toyota C-HR, believed to be licensed by Wolverhampton Council (although it may be Birmingham-licensed, as the image quality makes it difficult to confirm). According to the post, the driver had stopped in a live lane of the busy dual carriageway in an attempt to sort out their sat nav. This reckless decision led to a dangerous situation, with vehicles reportedly swerving to avoid a collision. The resulting obstruction also caused tailbacks on the route. The Roads Policing Unit wrote: “If you’re lost please don’t stop in a live lane of a dual carriageway to sort the Sat Nav.
