people don’t realise how much we love coffee in Australia, when Starbucks first tried to open here they went bankrupt cause their coffee wasn’t up to australian standards

We took the coffee standards from around the world including; Greek, Italian, Turkish and Columbian immigrants and we mashed it together creating the pinnacle which is Australian coffee. Yet ANOTHER benefit we enjoy from being a multicultural society.

I’ve been a barista for over 10yrs, coffee is better here because we clean the machine and don’t over extract the coffee

Melbourne is the coffee capital of Australia. I’ve had several Europeans visit and they rave the coffee in Australia they were surprised how good it is.

When I went to Canada I struggled to find drinkable coffee. The only good place I found was in Banff and the baristas were Aussies haha. Coffee in Japan wasn’t good either 😅
