Let’s clear this up real quick: reparations for Black Americans are meant for Black Americans. No, the money is not being sent to Africa or shared with the continent. African leaders are asking for reparations from their own colonizers, like the UK and France, for what they went through. Just like us, they suffered. So instead of turning on each other, understand that we’re both demanding justice from the same system. Africa’s not taking from us if anything, they’re standing with us.
