I am law enforcement. Let me set everyone straight. This is ONLY for inspection purposes. It is NOT a legal law to install tint darker than 35%. An inspection station can still refuse service and you will still get stopped and cited!

I own an inspection station in NC, please understand what it states, currently we still have to check it and charge for it, this goes in to affect on 12/1/2025. it's still illegal but inspectors won't be able to check or charge for it after 12/1/2025
