PT assistant here. This method is sooo much better for the patient and us too! The hip precautions are easier to follow compared to the posterior approach

CRNA here…this is the far superior way to have a hip replacement. Make sure your surgeon knows what they are doing!

CRNA here. You forgot the insane positions they put the leg in to do this and muscle stretching causes most of the pain. I had this and was back in work in 3 weeks.

My husband had this done a few months ago, he’s doing great but they really should keep the patient at least one night. They sent him home the same day.

53 in a few weeks and I think I’m gonna have to have this done in the next month or so. Can anyone tell me ideally how long o would need to be off work? Most of my work is desk work.

a friend of mine had this done, the first Dr. who did the surgery did not even, connect what should have been connected.... when she was in rehab her leg would go all over. she had too go through surgery again 😩
